Werk-

Howard Smith-
Howard Smith wurde 1943 in Chicago geboren, lebt und arbeitet in - Poughkeepsie New York. Er unterrichtete unter anderem an verschiedenen Instituten - Pratt Brooklyn Institute, New York - The School of Visual Arts, New York - The University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.

art work-
Four works of these series where presented at the simultaneous exhibition - Howard Smith, No End in Sight - Kunstmuseum Villa Zanders Bergisch Gladbach, Germany - Kunstmuseum Appenzell, Switzerland. This oil on paper painting combines colour (dark and light tones) and composition (radical positioning) of the blue body in the paper, in a calm and intense way. Howard Smith painted Cobalt Blue in 1966 and kept it in his property for a long time. Only a few of those rare early period works exist on the market today.

Howard Smith-
Howard Smith was born 1943 in Chicago. He is still living and working in Poughkeepsie New York. Over the years he was teaching in different institutions such as - Pratt Brooklyn Institute, New York - The School of Visual Arts, New York - The University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. As a member of the painters mouvement group - RADICAL PAINTING in the 1980s, radicality and colour still remain two elementary aspects of his abstract painting work today.
